Arthur Smiths Solicitors was established in Wigan in 1887 when Arthur Smith set up his practice as a sole practitioner on King Street, Wigan. In those days, he also combined the roles of Town Clerk and Magistrates' Clerk. He was joined by T.M. Broadie-Griffith in the 1930s, and since then Arthur Smiths Solicitors has developed into a multi-partner Solicitors' Practice continuing to serve the people of Wigan and surrounding areas of Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside.

The policy of the firm is to provide our clients with dedicated, professional and approachable solicitors who are experts in their chosen areas of the law and are able to deliver our services in an efficient and cost effective manner.

Situated in Wigan in the heart of the North West we can offer the same services as much larger city-based firms at a lower cost and with a more personal touch.

We are a firm of solicitors franchised by the Legal Services Commission and are members of the Law Society's Specialist Family Law and Personal Injury Panels.
